The Review: Soultanicals

Soultanicals, if anything has a wicked sense of humour! with products like Knot Sauce (in a hot sauce shaped bottle) and Hair Sorrell (or Kink Drink) Soultanicals like to play on words and along with the fun punchy packaging I was kind of in love with this brand before a drop even touched my hair. Then of cause is the fruity aromas that leave your hair smelling like citrus fruit. But we all know that funny names, pretty packaging and smelly stuff can only get you so far! So does it work.....
I must say I was Impressed with Soultanicals, mostly with the Hair Sorrell and Marula-Muru Hair Guru especially when combined! Heres the run down of what I thought of each product

Knot Sauce is a detangling conditioner which can be rinsed out or left in hair, I used it to detangle and as a leave in. As conditioners go it's pretty good, It gives enough slip to effectively detangle and doesn't leave a white film over hair if you leave it in. Good solid product.

NOURISHING, PLANT-BASED INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water Botanically Infused with Certified Organic Blue Malva, Nettle, Horsetail, Slippery Elm, Oatstraw, Chamomile, Coltsfoot & Marshmallow Root, Certified Organic Aloe Juice, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Flaxseed Gel, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocoa Butter, Brocolli Seed Oil, Crambe Seed Oil, Pro-Vitamin B5, Guar Gum, Algae, Coconut Nectar, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Natural, Fragrant & Essential Oil Blends, Potassium Sorbate, Black Willowbark Extract, Citric Acid, an extra pouring of soulistic flava & LOVE!

This is some good ish! I loved it, Marula Muru Hair Guru is thick and creamy and my thirsty hair drank it up! Again this product smells amazing. This is great for thirsty hair and worked well on my hair, on day 2 and 3 when hair can get a bit crispy! even though it is quite thick it melts into hair and thicker daily conditioners work wonders for my thick natural hair. Would definitely re buy this one!

ABSORBING BOTANICAL INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water Botanically Infused with Chamomile, Calendula, Nettle & Sage, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Vegetable Glycerine, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Olive Oil, Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Agave Nectar, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Pro Vitamin B5, Murumuru Butter, Flaxseed Gel, Pracaxi Oil, Cocoa Butter, Marula Oil, Olive Squalane, Natural, Fragrant Oil Blends, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, an extra scoop of soulistic flava & LOVE!

Kink Drink not only made me literally Laugh Out Loud, but it is also a pretty good product, Great for refreshing hair when needed, I used it to jazz up my wash and go's this week. It's great as a glorified hair perfume because it smells like berries! the water to oil ratio is pretty good and my hair was left refreshed without the need to then add more oil like some hair spritz I've tried.

NOURISHING BOTANICAL INGREDIENTS: Lavender Water, Organic Aloe Juice, Herbal Infusion of Horsetail, Burdock, Chamomile, Hibiscus, Ginger, Irish Moss & Nettle, Flaxseed Gel, Babassu Oil, Castor Oil, Pro Vitamin B5, Sorbitol, Algae, Kelp, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Agave Nectar, Natural, Fragrant & Essential Oil Blends, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Citric Acid, Sea Buckthorne , an extra spritz of LOVE!

My least favourite of the Soultaicals products was Loc-n-roll, Twist & Fro Out. I personally found it to be a little grainy. It did melt into my hair with a good rub  but the grains put me off. My hair felt good afterwards. I used it for coiling my hair and also used it on my skin as you can't go wrong with grapeseed oil, argon oil and castor oil I just didn't like the texture.

ULTRA RICH BOTANICAL INGREDIENTS:  Mango Butter, Grapeseed Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Castor Oil, Olive Wax, Cocoa Butter, Pro-Vitamin B5, Argan Oil, Sea Kelp, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Sweet Orange, Lavender and Geranium Essential Oils, an extra serving of soulistic flava & LOVE!

Overall Soultanicals is a very good line and it is fairly priced, and they ship internationally
